Regardless of the occasion, there is a one universal rule when it comes to wearing perfumes; less is always more. The worst thing that you can do is to wear too much of perfume. The amount of perfume you are wearing should be just enough for the person next to your to catch a whiff of it. It would be overkill if your colleague on the other end of the office could smell your perfume. Wearing too much perfume is pretty much a turn-off. You may be viewed as being overzealous and unintuitive.
