Givenchy (pronounced as zhee-VAH(N)-shee) has been one of the top luxury brands in the world for the past five decades. Founded by Hubert de Givenchy in the fifties, its unique brand of sophistication has propelled the company to be come one of the most prominent brands in fashion. It produces a wide range of clothing and accessories, as well as some of the best selling perfumes of all time. Organza, Amarige and Hot Couture are some of the more popular Givenchy fragrances, just to name a few.
Givenchy Gentlemen, one of Givency’s early perfumes is one of the best selling perfumes for men. Although it was first launched about thirty years ago, it remains very popular today due to its classical scent. It has tarragon and cinnamon scents as its top notes with a blend of patchouli and Russian leather as its base. This timeless scent would go perfectly with your office wear and any other formal occasions. As a sidenote, if you want to read up more articles on perfume, do check out the site Women's Perfume.
Givenchy also has a very impressive range of women’s perfume. Although most of them are subtle and light, all the scents embody an air of sophistication and aristocracy, staying true to the brand’s signature. The Eau de Givenchy perfume for women is another classical fragrance launched in 1980. It has a blend of strong floral accents (jasmine and lily) that are pronounced yet subtle. The floral scents are grounded by woody base notes (sandalwood and cedar), giving this fragrance a good balance. This classic women’s perfume is perfect for any occasion.
Another popular Givenchy fragrance will have to be the Givenchy Pour Homme cologne (launched in 2002). Made from lush fruits, grapefruits, violet and many other exotic ingredients, this perfume has a warm and addictive scent to it, starting out with a tinge of citrus scents when sprayed and dries town to a warm scent of spices. This is one of my all time favorite perfumes.
Organza and Hot Couture are some of the more popular ladies’ perfume from Givenchy. Both these perfume has wonderful floral scents that comes from concoctions of some flowers, amber, and vanilla. Organza has a woody base, giving it a grounded scent. Hot Couture on the other hand has a stronger floral scent, which is sweet and fruity.
